James Gilberd has worked as a full-time professional photographer since the early 1990s, and brings a lot of knowledge and experience to photographic jobs and assignments. As well as headshots, passport and ID photos, James is an experienced commercial and documentary photographer with an interest in art and architecture, and he has also photographed many weddings. He is experienced with film - colour, black & white, and darkroom work - but has been working mainly with digital photography since 1999, film prior to that. He has a Certificate of Professional Photography from Wellington Polytechnic, 1987, and a Bachelor of Design degree, majoring in photography, from Victoria University, 1997. He has run Photospace Gallery since 1998. He also runs Photocourse NZ, which offers a range of part-time courses and workshops.
